Vermont, vicariously
Vermont, vicariously is a visual diary of longing. Growing up in Vermont, the landscapes of Vermont and the Champlain Valley in particular, have a special resonance with me. As I adjust to a new home, and new landscapes I find myself nostalgic for the familiar landscapes I grew up with and still identify as home. The images in this collection are from the Facebook posts of Jen Roberts, a childhood friend of mine, still living and working in Addison County. She began posting photos of her morning runs, and the series grew out of a love for the landscapes and also a fascination with the curious quality of Facebook, in bridging distance while also enforcing isolation. All images have Jen's permission for re-use.
